This document will enable on how to clear Cache and Cookies from the browser which creates slowness in using the system and clearing of Cache and Temp Files from PC / Laptop.

Kindly find the steps for Chrome Browser Clear Cache and Cookies below:

1. Close all the tabs in the browser and just click on the 3 dots towards your right hand side top corner.
2. The dots have been highlighted in the image above.

1. After clicking on the highlighted dots, the above image shows what appears next.
   
2. Go to History and click on the History tab as shown in the image above.

1. Similar to the above screen will appear wherein it will have all your previous history.
   
2. Click on the icon besides “Clear browsing data” which has been highlighted in the above image

1. The above image has been highlighted with things that needs to be done.
   
2. Click on the checkboxes for Cache, Cookies and Browsing history.
   
3. Select the Time range as All Time.
   
4. And then click on the “Clear data” button.
   
5. After clicking on the Clear data button, this might take time as there might be data more than in GB’s
   
6. After clearing, you can closed the browser and open again and start using the browser.
   
7. The browser is now all good to use.

Step to clear Cache:- 

Step 1.

Close all the Browsers

Step 2.

For Clearing Temp files, below are the steps and images.

1. Click on Start option and Click on the keyboard buttons “Window + Run” together.
   
2. Popup will appear as shown in the image.
   

1. Enter the details in the pop-up as mentioned in the image.
   
2. Type “temp” as shown in the image and click on “OK” button.
   

1. The above image appears after clicking on OK button.
   
2. Click on the keyboard buttons “Control+A” together.
   

1. All temp files will be selected after the previous step.
   
2. Click on the keyboard buttons “Shift+Delete” together.
   
3. The pop-up will appear as shown in the image.
   
4. Click on the "Yes" button.

Step 3.

For clearing %Temp% files, below are the steps and images

1. Click on Start option Click on the keyboard buttons “Window + Run” together.
   
2. Popup will appear as shown in the image.
   
3. Type “%temp%” as shown in the image and click on “OK” button.

1. The above image appears after the step before.
   
2. Click on the keyboard buttons “Control+A” together.

1. All temp files will be selected after the previous step.
   
2. Click on the keyboard buttons “Shift+Delete” together.
   
3. The pop-up will appear as shown in the image.

Step 4.

For clearing Prefetch files (same as temp files), below are the steps and images

1. Click on Start option and Click on the keyboard buttons “Window + Run” together.
   
2. Popup will appear as shown in the image.
   
3. Type prefetch” as shown in the image and click on “OK” button.

1. The above image appears after the previous step.
   
2. Click on the keyboard buttons “Control+A” together.
   
3. Click on the keyboard buttons “Shift+Delete” together.
   
4. The PC / Laptop is now all good to use.
