Freezing of Membership refers to pausing the membership of a member for a certain duration. e.g. when the member is going out of town for an emergency, you can pause their membership for a period of time and the expiry date of the membership gets extended further for that specified period.
When the membership is frozen and if the member visits the club or the gym during that period automatically the membership gets activated.
When a freeze entry is performed it auto-extends the membership expiry date.
Example: 6 months membership starting from March 01, 2020 valid up to September 30, 2020. If Membership will be frozen for 30 days then the new membership expiry date will be October 30, 2020.
Postpaid Freeze:-
In postpaid freeze, membership amount is not inclusive of the freezing charges. So when a member wants to freeze a membership a fee has to be paid before freezing a membership.
The freezing charges have to be pre-configured in the Additional Payment master to collect the freezing charges while freezing a membership.
In the Postpaid Freeze, a member is not eligible for a ‘Free Freeze’, hence an invoice has to be created as per the freeze fee charges before every freeze transaction is applied.
e.g. for 12 months membership, freeze attempts allowed is #3 and the freezing fee is Rs. 300. This means Rs. 300 is the freeze fee per attempt. So for 2 attempts it will be Rs. 600 & so on. Post the Invoice is generated the membership can be frozen as per the allowed freeze days.
